Level of Compensation
Wondering if someone can advise on the following please...
I slipped on some diesel oil on a train platform. It ruined my work trousers which I had to replace at a cost of Â?50.
I also suffered a badly grazed arm ( no medical attention required).
Network Rail have offered me Â?100 in total: Â?50 for the out of pocket expenses; and Â?50 for "inconvenience and compensation". This is offered " without admission of liability and on a without prejudice basis".
Is this amount reasonable? Or should I press for more?
Should I involve one of these no win-no fee solicitors?
Grateful for any advice.
Thanks.
